KAB School Garden Workday at LBJ High School
Tuesday, March 8, 2011 - 4:30pm to 6:00pm
Volunteers needed to overhaul LBJ High School’s gardens. Individual volunteers and small groups welcome. Projects will include amending existing soil and hauling displaced soil to new location. KAB’s Green Teens program will be working with teachers and students to use the garden beds year round as an outdoor learning space – join us to assist with this effort.
Green Teens is an after-school environmental education program of Keep Austin Beautiful. Green Teens has partnered with LBJ High School for three years to promote environmental stewardship.
Note: Bring water bottle and gardening gloves. All tools, sunscreen, water, and work gloves provided. Please meet Monica, KAB’s Education Program Manager at the school entrance; she will be wearing a blue Team KAB t-shirt.
