Graywater Reuse: Designing a System that Works

Wednesday, October 19, 2011 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm

We are pleased to be presenting another talk in our series on wise water use and reuse, to be held tomorrow in north central Austin, hosted by Design~Build~Live and Backyard Salvage and Garden.

Graywater Reuse: Designing a System that Works

Wednesday, October 19, 2011, 7 – 9 pm
Free and Open to the Public
Location: Backyard Salvage and Garden
111 E. Koenig Lane
Austin 78751

(formerly Howard’s Nursery)
Special note: Please bring a lawn chair or camp chair, as there will be limited seating available

Rebecca Batchelder, an environmental engineer with Glenrose Engineering, will touch on environmental impacts (good & bad), permitting process, human health & safety, treatment and soap. Her talk will cover most design considerations of a graywater reuse system, set the record straight on some graywater myths and misconceptions, and answer questions on how to make use of this valuable resource instead of sending it down the drain for costly, ineffective and resource-intensive treatment.

No RSVP required, but as DBL is a volunteer-run 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, optional donations at the door are always appreciated.

For more details and more DBL events, please visit or call Scott Clay at 512-689-1149.

Hope to see you there!
