Media Reform Report-back

Location:

As consolidation and a lack of diversity in mass media grow in the U.S., a movement of media reformers, community media-makers and activists are resisting and standing in opposition to the corporate control of how we communicate. This past April, the National Conference on Media Reform in Boston was gathering spaces to address this. Austin media activists from Austin Airwaves, Austin Indymedia, The Rag Blog, The Texas Independent and other groups will report back on the issues covered at the conferences and how it affects Austin and our use of media to pursue democracy and justice.
