We're having a gathering for permie friendly folks.  This will be a family friendly event as my seven year old will be present.

Please bring a dish, snack or drink (or failing that, just yourself) for a gathering of like minded permaculture friendly folks to connect, talk about what we do and what we'd like to see happen in the future. No need to RSVP, just show up at 6-9pm.

Movie time! Food Forests 101

Date:
Sun, 08/17/2014 -
2:00pm to 4:00pm

What is a food forest, and what does it look like in our backyard? Our neighborhood? Our community? What role do our feathered friends play in this perennial food system?

Bring a finger food snack to share and join us for a summer food movie and discussion at the Sustainable Food Center headquarters. We'll be watching excerpts from the Establishing a Food Forest with Geoff Lawton dvd (with permission for public viewing granted from the Permaculture Research Institute and EcoFilms Australia).

Perm the park

Date:
Sat, 08/09/2014 -
9:00am to 1:00pm

A major goal for ape99 is to transform the abandoned section of city park that we're adjacent to here in east Austin.

We've had a few meetups to work on it from time to time but nothing consistent.

SO...going to try something new and in line with the permaculture directive of 'small and consistent changes"

We'll be stacking functions by hands-on exploration permaculture while creating a sustainable food forest. The best way to learn permaculture is by doing, not reading.
