Our Trip to South Africa

Lesedi Village

Please be patient as the images load...

On the plane again. Jetting to Johannesburg. (2/6/2001 10:08 am). Sammy and Dad doing a little light reading. Sammy is checking to see if he has developed a bald spot.

Sam and Lynn doing a little posing for the camera.

Looks a little like an airport in a third world country. Just a little dim. This is Johannesburg airport.

Dad and I posing in the airport.

Frank is pleased we have arrived at Lesedi. They have a web site also. www.lesedi.com

Sammy checking out my hut in the Pedi village. Elegant comfort in a hut, the finest I've ever seen.

Sammy exploring the hut some more...

Now that's how you carry a baby. Lynn and a resident of the Pedi village with her baby.

Madison, Sara-Anne and Ben posing near the restaurant. Speaking of which, is it perhaps time to start eating again?

Apparently so. But what a dining room. It took 8 artists months to create this fantastic mural which stretches around the entire dining room.

Brian, the general manager and Sara-Anne doing a little after lunch digesting. It was about 4:30pm.

Then there was the gift store. Lynn doing a little shopping.

Madison negotiating with Frank for something he r-e-a-l-l-y needs.

This woman fell in love with Sammy. She kept picking him up at every opportunity.

Took some convincing, but we finally got Madison and Ben to stand near our guide for a photo.

Lynn, Sam, our zulu chief guide, Madison and Ben.

That evening in the dinner hall, There was much rejoicing and dancing.

Madison posing with some donkeys next morning. (2/7/2001) 10:03am

Dad, Ifraim and me. Ifraim tried to get me to marry his cousin, a buxom Ndabele woman who was visiting. If I had 11 cows, it would have been a deal.

We are back on the road again. Stephen the tour guide is driving is to Jaci's Safari Lodge. A five hour drive.

It was a pretty long drive, but the countryside was spectacular.
