Our Trip to South Africa Cape Town (page 1) Please be patient as the images load...
We stayed at a great little place called Whale of a time. The view of the sea from Whale of a time was breathtaking.
More of the view.

Visiting Aunty Yetta and Gran. That is me and Aunty Yetta and half of Sara-Anne. Aunty Yetta got most concerned about my situation in life.

Back at Whale of a time, letting the feeding begin anew. This was next morning. Sammy, Frank, Madison, Sara-Anne, Benny & Lynn.(1/29/2001)
Benny taking his breakfast very seriously.
Sammy found South African TV. Even forgot his dummy (pacifier for you Americans) for a while..
Later that day at the beach in Fish Hoek. Sand, sand, sand... you get the gyst.
Madison on the beach.
Oops, Sammy got a surprise drenching. Sara-Anne to the rescue.
Me at the beach in Fish Hoek. What a fine specimen (if I say so myself)
Sammy getting down on the beach. Note the fine headgear.
Lunch at a little restaurant in Fish Hoek.
Travelling around in our rental VW Kombi, 10 seater van was lots of fun. Driving on the left side of the road? Eeek! Thats Madison. He didn't seem to care too much...
The whole kombi.
Thats Benjamin (plug in mouth) and Dad's back.
What would life be without shopping. And what would shopping be like at Woolworths without a 2 year old? Well, one and a half. Thats Sammy exploring the women's underwear department in Claremont. (I think)
He was having a whale of a time.
Sometimes going shopping after being at the beach involves some interesting fashion choices. Frank, Sammy, Lynn and Madison "deep in shop."
Next morning (1-30-2001) Lynn's excercise regimen consists of running up and down 574 stairs at Whale of a time. She enjoyed this run apparently.
Later that day, Benny at the dry dock at the waterfront.
Lunch at the waterfront after an exhaustive shop. Frank, Madison, Benjamin and me.
The meal was taking a little longer than expected. Lynn, Frank, Benny and Madison.
Madison taking 15 spins around some tires.
Benny made the attendant work pretty hard for his money. There was some chasing going on.
The aquarium at the waterfront was spectacular. The feeding involved sharks attacking the feeders. Word of the day: "Stunning"
Naked bubbies got their baths.(Benny and Sammy)
Benny wants to go out and play.
1/31/2001: We were trying to get to Table mountain and saw a sign to Vredehoek. We had to go there and check it out. Oh the memories! Me and Lynn.
Frank, Lynn & Madison.
We finally made it to the top of table mountain. We got fairly lost along the way.
Ben, Sammy, me and Madison.
The boys were getting a little restless with all this photography. Ben, Sammy, me and Madison.
But they soon settled down. The view was rather breathtaking. Ben and Sammy.
Madison was quite taken with exploring the top of Table Mountain. Then again, he is never too busy for a quick pose.
Madison found a Dassie. He was cautious and took refuge behind a concrete rubbish bin.
The view from the top. Notice Disa park Towers lower right of center.
The view back up from where we were. What a ride.
Back in the kombi again.(Ben)
The visit to Leslene, Sylvia & Izzie. I think the players are:
