We're excited to join our hosts, the Vegetarian Network of Austin, at their October potluck event, a special potluck with a focus on vegetarian chili! The Vegetarian Network of Austin (VNA) is committed to social change toward a vegetarian lifestyle which is free of animal products and animal testing in food, clothing, cosmetics, household products and other areas of consumption. VNA is open to anyone interested in a vegetarian lifestyle and they host monthly vegan potluck meals to provide networking and a forum for self-education and information exchange regarding subjects of interest to vegetarians. VNA members also meet for volunteer projects, public outreach events and other social activities. For more info about the Vegetarian Network of Austin, and a map to the potluck, visit their web site at: www.vegnetaustin.org.
Please bring a dish that serves 8 people. IMPORTANT NOTE: all food needs to be 100% vegan (no meat, eggs, dairy, honey, or other animal products). Also, bring your own plate and utensils.
CHILI COOKOFF: This month we will vote as a group to decide who will represent the VNA at the Annual Lone Star vegetarian Chili cookoff. If you are interested in competing please bring your vegan chili for everyone to taste!
The potluck will be at the home of Candace d'Obrenovic, 3808 Arrow Drive, Austin. Take Mopac south to William Cannon. Turn left (east) on William Cannon. Turn right (south) on Brodie Lane. In just over 1/2 mile, turn right on Alexandria. Arrow Drive is the second right turn.
