Potluck date:

Friday, 17 July 2009 - 6:30pm to 9:00pm

Sun Dragon Martial Arts & Self Defense is a non-profit community organization that supports the physical and spiritual empowerment of all through training in conflict resolution, self defense, and non-violent martial arts.

We maintain a scholarship fund for anyone who needs financial assistance to train, and no one is turned away for inability to pay. In addition to our scholarship fund, Sun Dragon continues to offer free or low-cost classes to sister organizations, community groups, and the public. We offer a safe and affirming learning environment for all. We believe that we can end violence in our community, and that self defense is every person’s right. provides accommodation for travelers from around the world and other cultural activities for visitors and Austin residents.

Sun Dragon regularly sponsors seminars for students to learn from teachers who are nationally recognized experts in their field. Sun Dragon is a member school of the National Women’s Martial Arts Federation, which is a network of women who promote martial arts as a path of self-discovery and transformation. Join us for the July Potluck to learn more about Sun Dragon. You can visit www.sundragon.org or contact Joy Williamson, Executive Director and Head Instructor, at [email protected] or 416-9735.
