Austin Progressive Potluckers: International Institute of Culture and Language

Potluck date:

Sunday, 29 November 2009 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

The vision of the International Institute of Culture and Language (IICL) is to stand for the discovery and celebration of brotherhood through small-group dialogue, creating the conditions for world peace through a more just and friendly society. This effort, led by Elsa Potter, Ed.D. in bilingual education and retired educator living and working in Belize, brings groups of different ethnic people together who otherwise would not have the setting for this type contact. Elsa has been recognized for her work with awards such as the Hildago Award and the Giraffe Commendation “for standing tall and taking responsibility for making the world a better place.” Join us at this month’s potluck for a unique opportunity to hear from her while she is in the U.S. about her efforts for worldpeace through small group sharing and dialogue.

Please bring a dish that serves approximately 6-8 people and something to drink. PLEASE BE SURE TO BRING your own plate and eating utensils as well.
