This is the letter I wrote to Mr. Kyu Lee of the rip-off company gamevil.com
Dear Mr. Kyu Lee,
I downloaded a free game called Air Penguin to my android tablet on 2 Jan 2012 which Noah my 4-year old played with and I suddenly got some emails thanking me for buying from GAMEVIL USA and letting me know that: "this in-app purchase cannot be refunded." I was charged a total of $55. I was really surprised and I assumed that like most incorrect charges, if I acted quickly, I could get a refund. I obviously didn't buy anything and I certainly got no value from spending this money. I immediately uninstalled the program and followed the instructions in the email and website to ask for a refund.
I got an email from gamevil a few days later which said that the terms were clear and that they would not refund the money. I'm hopping mad and looking for a way to get this rectified. I also talked to the google wallet people who told me to get back to them if gamevil.com didn't refund the money. After a lot of aggravation and no satisfaction from your company, they did refund the $55 but I am still really unhappy with this. I think your policy is wrong and fraudulent to take money from a child who doesn't know any better.
I have notified the news channels, posted this information on facebook and my blog and am about to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. When I asked your "Gamevil Contact" person for your contact info so I could communicate directly with you about this, they ignored my request so I looked you up.
I think your policy is wrong and I'd like to know what you intend to do about it.
Sincerely
Selwyn Polit
