Both in 2008 and 2009, they were voted in the top 10 farmers markets in the country. They were voted by Eating Well Magazine as one of the top 5 farmers markets in the country. They also won the Austin Chronicle’s Best of 2007, 2008 and 2010 Reader’s Poll ‘Best Farmers Market’ and their 2006 award for ‘Best Food Court.’ Greenling Organic Delivery , one of their sponsors and a vendor at the market, won Best Local Food Company for the second year in a row.
Wolfgang Puck has endorsed this market when it was known as the SVFM. and was ranked as one of the top 10 Farmers Markets in the country (along with Madison, Santa Fe, Ithaca, and Ferry’s Plaza) by the Audubon Society. In 2005, Pamela Boyar, the market manager, received the Farmers Market Manager of the Year from the North American Farmers Direct Marketing Association.

Barton Creek Farmers Market is at the back of the Barton Creek Square mall parking lot overlooking the city---at the intersection of S. Loop 1 (Mopac) and S. Capital of Texas Highway (Loop 360). Hours 9:00am to 1:00pm every Saturday
