Permablitz Little Bluestem Farm
Permablitz Daily Schedule Breakdown
Each Permablitz is unique in itself and the individual projects are often largely governed by the space. But, each event has a general chain of events that will be similar throughout. Breakfast and lunch will be provided at every blitz. Generally most of the hard work, like digging and sculpting the earth, gets done on Saturday. More of the lighter work, like planting and installing drip irrigation, gets done on Sunday. Each day will start at 9am (come early if you want breakfast!) and can end anywhere from 2pm-5pm depending on how much we get done.
Please come prepared! It’s best to always bring with you a canteen for water, snacks, protection from the weather-sun hat, sun screen, proper clothing for the weather that day, marked tools-shovel, hoe, pick axe, rake, pitch fork, digging fork, wheel barrow, planting tools, spade, and gloves. It is not necessary to bring every single one of these things but if you’ve got em, bring em! Please bring a $20 donation as well, so that we can keep these events sustainable. All of the money raised at these events goes directly back into the blitz fund. No profit is made.
