Green Gate Farms Earth Day SATURDAY APRIL 21

Join Green Gate Farms and the New Farm Institute as we celebrate Earth Day (a day early)! Guests are welcome to participate in some or all of our activities. Or just bring a blanket and enjoy a picnic in our Children's Garden. Here's some of the fun:

Kids Farmer for a Day Camp, (9-1)
Tempeh Cooking and Tasting with the founders of The Hearty Vegan, (11-2)
Pony cart rides, (12-1)
Seed saving class: learn how to do this, bring seeds to swap (12-12:30)
Farm Stand (10-2) full of organic vegetables, herbs, eggs, meats, flowers and more. Bring a cooler and stock up!

Kids Farmer for a Day Camp

In this one of a kind day camp, children ages 5-15 get to explore the farm and assist farmers as they work in the fields and tend to livestock. Join us as we learn about Seed Saving: it's fun, it's easy and it's important. Bring seeds to share. (Noon-12:30)
