DBL The Brew in Max’s Pot
Wednesday, September 18, 2013 - 7:00pm to 9:00pm
Guest presenter: Pliny Fisk III, M. Arch, M.L. Arch, Co-Director and Co-Founder of Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems
Many of you know of and perhaps have visited the Center for Maximum Potential Building Systems (“Max Pot”), an internationally recognized education, research, and demonstration organization. This Austin-based gem has been promoting sustainable building and living since 1975! Join DBL to learn more about what “The Center” is up to…
A story of how innovation derives from a nexus, how the Center combines prototyping with protocols that together have created green policy initiatives at a local, state, and national level. Underneath this story is how inspiration itself grows from an equally important mix within this brew, including honoring natural systems, the human experience, and the specialness of place itself.
The presentation will concentrate on two or three of the Center’s protocol Lenses, referred to as our “Lenses for a Maximum Potential Future.”
NEW MEETING LOCATION: The new, green HEB store at the Mueller Development, 1801 E. 51st @ Berkman, Austin, Tx 78723 (map), Community Room (Left inside front doors and upstairs)
