David Cole on Civil Liberties after 9/11
Georgetown University law professor David Cole will speak on “Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law 10 Years after 9/11: Has Everything Changed?” Cole, who has litigated cases before the Supreme Court, will explore the ways that the war on terror has -- or has not -- transformed the rule of law in the United States, with special attention to the role of the Obama administration, the courts, and civil society. He is the author of six books, including The Torture Memos: Rationalizing the Unthinkable (2009).
