Advanced Screening of Farm-City, State

Thursday, December 12, 2013 - 6:30pm

Join Edible Austin and The Blanton Museum of Art as we celebrate the 7th Annual Eat Drink Local Week with an advanced screening of Farm-City, State presented by Wheatsville Food Co-op. After the film enjoy a Q&A with the film's producer and director David Barrow and some additional special guests. This event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited so RSVPs are required. All attendees will also recieve a free pass to come back and explore the Museum and all of its collection of over 17,000 works of art.

About the film: Farm-City, State asks the question, what would a city look like if local farmers could fee the entire population of that city with healthy, organic, local food? How would this new-found bounty affect the local economy, the health of its citizens and help shape the community? What would need to happen for a community to produce and distribute food for the entire metropolitan area?
