Austin Refugee Day Festival

The first annual Austin Refugee Day Festival is a city-wide event hosted by local agencies who serve refugee and migrant families.

This free event is open to the public and will be a fun park day for the community! It will include 5-on-5 soccer matches, kids’ activities including a Velcro wall, inflatable bounce houses, multi-lingual cartoons, face painting, outdoor games, information and resource booths, as well as a variety of food vendors on site!

Undocumented immigrants are participating in a ride for justice from Arizona to the Democratic National Convention in North Carolina. Along the way they will be stopping in various cities, including Austin, to tell their stories and to encourage community members to get involved in the struggle for migrant justice.
