The event will also feature healers and workshops in a family-friendly environment while supporting Austin performing arts and education.

The Blanton Block Party is the perfect opportunity to get reacquainted with the museum’s collection, while experiencing outdoor family art activities, a museum studies symposium, live music, food, and tours throughout the day. Enjoy a lecture and book signing by renowned artist Nina Katchadourian, in conjunction with her exhibition, Nina Katchadourian: Curiouser.

Austin Refugee Day Festival

The first annual Austin Refugee Day Festival is a city-wide event hosted by local agencies who serve refugee and migrant families.

This free event is open to the public and will be a fun park day for the community! It will include 5-on-5 soccer matches, kids’ activities including a Velcro wall, inflatable bounce houses, multi-lingual cartoons, face painting, outdoor games, information and resource booths, as well as a variety of food vendors on site!

Afro-Latin Fruit Fest

We are presenting this inaugural event in order to create a celebration around fruit and community playfulness. Our hope is to bring communities together in a space where they can get to know one another; to encourage people to explore new fruits they may never have heard of before; to get people to move their bodies in collective play. Come join the kick-off party for Beyond Salad as we gather in the park to celebrate fruit, fun and family!! There will be music, dancing, games and lots of fresh and delicious fruit!

“Drum, Dance, Groove to the Rhythms of Austin at Austin Earth Day Festival 2015”

The Austin Earth Day Festival 2015 returns to the Historic Browning Hangar at Mueller on Saturday, April 18th with a line-up that will ignite the imagination of thousands of Austinites.

Ten drumming acts, both participatory and performance, will take the stage throughout the day. Representing the diversity of Austin, the local drumming acts will include African, Brazilian, Middle Eastern, Chinese, Caribbean, Polynesian and more.

Austin BikeFest at Govalle Park in East Austin will be packed with activities for all ages, with an estimated 1000+ attendees. The day begins at 8:30am with a ribbon-cutting of Austin's newest multi-use path--the Southern Walnut Creek Trail--featuring U.S. Representative Lloyd Doggett and Mayor Lee Leffingwell. A family-friendly bike ride follows at 10:00am, including water and snack stations along the trail.

Urban Roots 2012 Fall Harvest Festival
