Join Shelia Hargis and Laurie Foss for a different type of field trip at Commons Ford Park. Bring your favorite lawn chair and join us for a morning of sitting in the shade, watching and discussing bird behavior, practicing your ID skills on immature birds, and practicing your birding-by-ear skills. We’ll visit a couple of locations but most of the time will be spent letting the birds come to us and closely observing the birds and their behavior. The trip is limited to 12 participants and reservations are required. If you’re interested, register online.

Join Shelia Hargis and Laurie Foss for our annual birding adventure by bicycle along Cow Creek Road. Cow Creek Road is roughly seven miles of hilly pavement that runs along Cow Creek and past several Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge tracts.
